This farm works by sending the guardians quite a bit away to a portal above the nether roof, and then back to the overworld to a portal closer to it. I was just confused as to why I didn't appear in the overworld, at my new portal placed near the killing chamber up above after following the coords correctly ÷8 etc etc. (I can fix the farm by simply removing the new portals, and sorry if this sounds confusing) But I arrive at the farm nether portal on the ocean surface, and now the guardians spawn in my new nether portal and not above the nether roof for the farm to work. I lit it and took coords but did not enter, I then went into the nether via a separate portal away from the farm and went to the exact coords (didn't take into account Y axis) on my nether hallway network. I created the new portal let's say 30-40 blocks away from the killing chamber on a platform (I'm not in game at moment) The portal I wanted to create was close to the killing chamber. If you have time to check the video you'll see there are quite alot of portals involved in the overworld and nether (above the nether roof) My guess is that the portals are maybe too close but it’s annoying for my overworld portal to have to be 100s of blocks from my base if that’s the case.īasically I wanted to make a portal from my base and link it up with a new portal I made up in the sky near my Guardian xp farm I will say though that if I do go into my nether roof portal it will go to the correct exit.ītw I know that height doesn’t matter but I included it anyways if that changes anything… got any ideas? Only time it links with the correct one is when is I break Portal 1 in nether… but as soon as I place it back it links to it again. I’ve broken all of the portals but no matter what I do my overworld portal (Portal 2) will always end up at 66, 75, -9 in the nether. Portal 1 (my friends village): overworld 522, 63, -45 … goes to the nether 66, 75, -9 that’s fine…īUT Portal 2 (my secret base): overworld 702, 59, -196… ALSO goes to nether 66, 75, -9… Eventhough I built a portal on the Nether roof that is at 88, 115, -25 which matches up with my overworld portal at 702, 59, -196… it just won’t go to it. I’ve built 2 portals in the overworld that match up with the coords of the other 2 portals in the nether. Hello, very simple question and Im sorry if this is a duplicate but all I can see online about fixes for portals that don’t link properly is just, “for every 8 blocks in the overworld there is 1 block in the nether!” I’ve heard that 1000 times which is exactly what I’m doing. Good bartenders cut people off when they’ve crossed a threshold of drunkenness. Of course, the drinks he serves as a VTuber aren’t real, but for Takahata, setting the right tone as a server of virtual beverages is still essential. “Talking about how our experiences made us feel is a good way of helping other people figure out their feelings.” Instead, he wants to provide a safe environment for his viewers to hang out virtually with himself and other VTubers without the social pressure to overindulge. But the way it is marketed it’s like, ‘You’ve got to drink six to 12 beers a day, or you’re not cool.’ That’s such horseshit,” he said.īecoming part of an “in crowd” while being chemically addicted to alcohol isn’t what Takahata wants to promote in his streams. I think everyone’s allowed to get shitfaced after winning a war. “I think alcohol is a thing of merriment, like celebrations, birthdays, Christmas or like winning a war. He also tries to normalize talking about topics like mental health, as in this clip where he discusses his experiences with ADHD. While streams from The Weary 101 are usually high-spirited, bubbly affairs with virtual hooch on tap and lively conversations with chat, occasionally discussions shift toward the topic of overindulgence, which Takahata doesn’t shy away from engaging in. Takahata, whose real name is Curtis Arnott, felt like he couldn’t truly move forward with his work as a content creator if he didn’t acknowledge that he had spent years of his life struggling with alcoholism. If you’re lucky, you might catch him loosening his tie, shaking out his hair so that it drapes over his shoulders, and lighting a cigarette before serving viewers beverages made from Twitch bit donations that he grinds up and turns into virtual libations.Īlthough he isn’t the first VTuber bartender, the fascinating contradiction behind Takahata101’s decision to become one is that he is a recovering addict himself. In his visual novel-inspired bar, you’ll find Takahata’s avatar dressed in a button-up vest, with a hint of stubble on his chin and his long, Terry Bogard-like hair tied up in a ponytail. For the uninitiated, VTubers, originally called virtual YouTubers, are people who use motion-captured virtual avatars while they livestream. The breakfast food is some of the best breakfast we’ve ever had. Pros: the service overall is incredible - Pepe at the pool, took the best care of us along with everyone else. We have stayed at Rosewood, Banyan Tree, and now Viceroy so I wanted to review because I feel like these luxury resorts are neck and neck. We just returned from a 3 night 4 day short anniversary trip. Viceroy is an amazing resort and we had an incredible time. I highly recommend visiting the Viceroy to rejuvenate and relax and have a spiritually grounded private experience. It has inspired me to want to learn their beautiful language. They mostly all spoke both English and Spanish. They exceeded my expectations! I was also impressed how well communication went.I was nervous not knowing how to speak Spanish. The resort was beautifully kept clean and tidy and I got the feeling the staff wanted us to have our relaxation dreams come true. I’m so impressed by the staff and how hard they work each and every day. We did not feel the need to leave the resort and it felt like paradise being immersed in the jungle and right next to the beach. We participated in the tequila tasting experience and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys tequila. Even though we didn’t have private concierge service it felt like we did. The staff genuinely cared about our experience. The whole entire staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. It was an amazing experience from arrival to departure. I’m already trying to figure out our next trip to the viceroy. For me, it will be back to Casa Que Canta, and Las Ventanas. The beachfront villa here is about $1,450/nt plus the usual add-ons (taxes, service, etc.) about 25-30%. It is an option for those who don’t want to pay $5K per night for a villa at Las Ventanas, as one example. Transfers arranged through the resort were perfect barring one VERY chatty driver. This is the category in which the resort shines. Service at reception, concierge and restaurant/room service was swift, courteous and competent. There is a sporadic parade of tourists walking past most of the time but the villa is mostly spared the sight. The beach is not really up to par although fairly accessible. It us adjacent but very well screened from the restaurant/pool area. Inside there is large bedroom, large bathroom with slipper tub and dual sinks, outdoor rain shower, large walk-in closet, toilet alcove, and foyer. I have mobility issues and had a difficult time getting safely in and out if the pool. The large shaded outside area was lovely, well furnished and featured two day beds (one shaded, one not), dining table and chairs, and a heated pool - larger than plunge, smaller than a regular pool. It is the only accommodation that is acceptable (to me anyway). I stayed in one of two beachfront villas, 1700sqft including outside lounge. The resort is a very deep (mile plus) swatch of jungle with the beach, restaurants nice resort pool at one end, and reception lobby at the other end, connected by concrete walkways. It was a good trip but I'll be going back to spending more for greater satisfaction. This trip I'd determined to go lower end to see if saving a few bucks would be worth it. In the past I've chosen traditional luxury resorts, on the higher end (Las Ventanas, Esperanza, Las Alamandas, La Casa Que Canta, Belmond Marona, etc). I'm consirably older now, and have been going solo for the last three years. Why did I choose this venue? I've been travelling to and through Mexico since age 9. Massive restaurant, probably 100+ tables, very elegant with chandeliers, marble bathrooms, white tablecloth, uniformed waiters, the works. or I might just go to another dim sum place around.Ĭame here for an early pre-Thanksgiving dinner, as the teenage grandkids would be in Irvine Orange County for the holidays. This place has this giant tv and tvs all around which is fun to look at, but I docked a star for the surprise $$$. I didn't fight it, but something about it just didn't feel great. This place charges a 18% tip (apparently, regardless of how many people are in your party) and then adds tax to that. Nothing bad.until we got the bill at the end of the meal! Sigh - next time I go anywhere, I'll be sure check out the reviews before going. We got the siu mai and ha gao and chicken feet and cow intestines (pretty standard dim sum fare). They have these cute piglet buns (which are their 奶皇包 or egg custard buns, pretty tasty). I liked that all the staff wore black masks - it's makes it easier to flag down someone.įood was decent too. Soo this is a fancy dim sum place - good for banquets, parents, in-laws or anyone else you'd like to impress. He was very detailed and explained everything in their contract and was patient with the million of questions we had. One of their managers, Esmond, was very nice to give us all the info we needed and showed us pictures of previous weddings that have been hosted by them. However, if you're looking for just a dinner reception, you can't go wrong choosing here. Unfortunately, their private dining room meant to host 100-120 people is a little small if you're hoping to have room for extra vendors like a photo booth, etc. The same cart ladies came by our table frequently, so we didn't feel forgotten at all.Īs for wedding banquets, their prices are relatively reasonable in comparison to HL Peninsula and Koi Palace in Milpitas. Service was relatively fast on an early Saturday morning. Their egg yolk buns are the cutest! Everything was delicious & I ended up order more to-go, so my family could try too. We had the typical dishes- chicken feet, siu mai, har gow, sticky rice in the lotus leaf, etc. I was pleasantly surprised at how well their dim sum was seasoned. It's been awhile since I've been to dim sum where they push around carts! We actually came here to try out their food to see if we would want to host our wedding banquet here next year. Similarly, Dim Sum Garden on 1020 Race Street draws in hungry eaters daily Penang’s - a Malaysian restaurant on 117 N 10th Street - does the same, with many rushing in to have Roti Canai, steaming Pad Thai noodles and crispy spring rolls. Restaurants like Pho Calí - a Vietnamese restaurant on 1000 Arch Street - continue to thrive. Nevertheless, the neighborhood’s ethos emulates immigration ideology: resilience, hard work, and community orientation. The highway cuts through Chinatown, resulting in children and community members living in unsafe public spaces, with cars, highway traffic, and big loading trucks as everyday phenomena in Philadelphia’s Chinatown. In 2020, over 100,000 cars and trucks traveled along the expressway daily, according to state traffic counts. Officially known as Interstate 676, the expressway has split the neighborhood in half, causing a stint in Chinatown’s community development and significantly contributing to air and noise pollution in the area. In the coming years, the Asian American community battled against urban renewal plans such as the Vine Street Expressway in the 1960s. After World War II, loosened immigration policies toward the Chinese metamorphosed Chinatown into a family-oriented community. So, for many decades around the 900 block of Race Street, a concentration of Chinese businesses emerged – the cluster soon becoming Chinatown. At the same time, laundries and restaurants near Philadelphia’s commercial harbors emerged due to Cantonese immigration to Philadelphia. The beginning of Philadelphia’s Chinatown is marked by Lee Fong, a sojourner, who was one of the many who fled “anti-Chinese sentiment in the west” and relocated east to form small “bachelor societies” as recorded by the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC). As a bustling hub of restaurants, K-beauty stores, and Asian supermarkets, Chinatown represents Hong Kong, Cantonese, Fujianese, Northern Sichuan, and Taiwanese cultures, with an addition of Korean, Thai, Malaysian, Burmese, Vietnamese, and American ideology mixed in the pot. Born in 1870, Philadelphia’s Chinatown’s parameters extend across Arch Street to Vine Street and from 11th Street to 8th Street. But, to the more than 3,000 people who live there - and thousands more who count on it for cultural connection - it’s home. For some, Chinatown is a place to visit: you can grab a cup of boba, pick up a box of steaming takeout noodles, and buy dragon fruit. Put the drainpipe with the drain elbow attached from the tub drain into. Vanity Traps are P-Traps which feature an extra-long (15”) Wall Bend to accommodate deeper Vanity installations. Put the overflow pipe with the overflow elbow attached into one side of the T-fitting. Did the kids flush a toy car or are roots from the tree in your backyard growing into your pipes A lot of times plumbers cannot warranty their work if they. This water in the trap creates a seal that prevents sewer gas from passing from the drain pipes back into the occupied space of a building or home. S-Traps are also used to prevent hazardous sewer gases from entering buildings, and are designed to drain into plumbing below the floor for installations where there is no access to plumbing directly behind the wall.īecause of their shape, J-Bends retain a small amount of water after the fixture’s use. If one with a cleanout plug is installed it can be cleaned without removing and installing a new trap. Step 2: Clean and Install the Replacement Drain How to Fix a Pop-Up Bathtub Drain These drains have moving parts that may need cleaning and lubrication. Loosen the set screw and remove the plug. They are available with or without cleanout plugs. Step 1: Remove the Plug Lift the drain plug and locate the set screw under the lip of the plug. The Tailpiece on the Lavatory Drain fits into the P-Trap J-Bend, connecting to the Wall Bend, which then enters the wall. Plumbing Pipe Fittings Pipe Toilet Spares Wastes & Traps Brassware. If you are just replacing an existing bath waste/overflow with a new one, a draining test will work. When the stopper in your lever-style bathtub drain won’t pop up anymore because the linkage is damaged or clogged, replace it with a much simpler lift-and-turn style tub drain. A P-Trap is comprised of a curved “trap” called a J-Bend and a drain pipe called a Wall Bend. Step 1 Lift-and-turn drains Detail of a lift-and-turn stopper Buy a new lift-and-turn stopper to replace your old lever-style drain. Plumblink is a specialist plumbing, bathroom and kitchenware merchant currently operating from over 100 branches strategically situated throughout South. A flip-it stopper, for instance, cannot be plugged into drains with built-in strainers.P-Traps can be found at almost any fixture that drains water and are designed to prevent hazardous sewer gases from entering the building. Finally, you'll have to consider what your drain can accommodate. For example, some people prefer a toe-touch stopper because they can open and close it without having to bend over. This way, you can fill your bath without worrying. You'll also want to consider ease of use when choosing a drain stopper. The overflow drain in a bathtub helps prevent water from pouring over the tubs rim when it fills too high. But it takes more substantial plumbing work to add a lever drain stopper due to the connection with the overflow pipe. It's even fairly easy to exchange a lever design for one sans lever. For example, lift-and-turn and push-and-pull stoppers are simple to swap for one another, as their installation is similar. Flexible P Trap Drain Pipe (1-1/2' or 1-1/4'),Adjustable P Trap Drain with Built-in Strainer for Kitchen Sink Drain & Garbage Disposal (Without Drain Stopper) 1399. The PVC tee and pipe includes a slotted overflow drain and a toe-tap stopper designed to complement a variety of custom baths and whirlpools. It's possible to substitute one drain stopper type for another if you're replacing an existing stopper, which can broaden your choices. For instance, if you're looking for a durable stopper that you can install yourself with basic plumbing skills, you might want to go with a lift-and-turn or push-and-pull model. Some of the most important factors to consider when choosing a bathtub drain stopper include cost, ease of installation, and ease of maintenance. The Spruce Home Improvement Review Board. Var diffInSeconds = Math.floor((new Date() - this. above code will print Apple and wait for 3 seconds before printing Mango. cout<<'Applen' Sleep (3000) cout<<'Mango' OUTPUT. And you'd probably want to add some kind of get/set function if you wanted to get the count or change the repeat value. Comes in handy.Ä®dit: Note, this doesn't do any input checking (like if delay and repeat are the correct type. Self-corrects the setTimeout, can run it X number of times (-1 for infinite), can start running instantaneously, and has a counter if you ever need to see how many times the func() has been run. (Go with the realtime or monotonic clock) If resolution and overhead is not a problem, but instead you would like to get the real-world time you can also you gettimeofday. * Self-adjusting interval to account for drifting Depends on how much accuracy you need: you can use clockgettime Which is very accurate (10MHz). I've wrapped it up into a constructor function so we can do 'objecty' things with it. I'ma just build on Bergi's answer (specifically the second part) a little bit because I really liked the way it was done, but I want the option to stop the timer once it starts (like clearInterval() almost). SetTimeout(step, Math.max(0, interval - dt)) // take into account drift possibly special handling to avoid futile "catch up" run Var dt = Date.now() - expected // the drift (positive for overshooting) Here the exact delay for each of the repeated timeouts is adapted to the actually elapsed time, compared to the expected intervals: var interval = 1000 // ms Those are known as self-adjusting timers. This requires a bit more advanced strategy (and code), though it pays out well (and registers less timeouts). However, sometimes you really need a steady interval executing your callbacks without drifting. So it would be advisable to update more often, like about every 100ms, to avoid such jumps. When the interval lags a bit and executes your callback after 990, 1993, 2996, 3999, 5002 milliseconds, you will see the second count 0, 1, 2, 3, 5 (!). Now, that has the problem of possibly jumping values. alternatively just show wall clock time: A timer is a very basic need and we use it almost every day. This header file contains functions to use and manipulate information about data and time. In this program, we will use a C++ header file called .This program notifies the user when the timer reaches zero. Output(Math.floor(delta / 1000)) // in seconds Here, we will create a timer that will take time as input from the user. Var delta = Date.now() - start // milliseconds elapsed since start Then base your logic on the current time value, instead of counting how often your callback has been executed.įor a simple timer or clock, keep track of the time difference explicitly: var start = Date.now() Use the Date object instead to get the (millisecond-)accurate, current time. They are allowed to lag arbitrarily, and they do not keep a constant pace but tend to drift (as you have observed). They cannot be trusted, there are no accuracy guarantees for them. ctime Convert timet value to string (function) gmtime Convert timet to tm as UTC time (function) localtime Convert timet to tm as local time (function) strftime Format time as string (function) Macro constants CLOCKSPERSEC Clock ticks per second (macro) NULL Null pointer (macro) types clockt Clock type (type) sizet Unsigned integral type. That will do unnecessary (and invisible) updates to the Label, but the displayed time will be a little more accurate, and the GUI will feel a little more responsive.Because you are using setTimeout() or setInterval(). The run_timer method updates the display Label with the time since the timer started, in minutes & seconds. clock time may advance faster or slower than the wall clock, depending on the execution resources given to the program by the operating system. The toggle method toggles the stopwatch on or off. Only the difference between two values returned by different calls to clock is meaningful, as the beginning of the clock era does not have to coincide with the start of the program.
